sitting here
hands through hair
i wonder if you know
let me clear my head
so that the words
sung through the radio waves
can reach me
and i won't feel so trapped
i wonder if you know
i don't count the days i've known you
nor the days till i see you again
i count the moments you would like
the jokes that would make you smile
the looks that could be passed between us
but aren't
i wonder if you know
it's strange
that the thoughts of you
hit me like a sack of bricks
and i'm caught without breath
you didn't even have know it was there
to take it away
i wonder if you know
the feelings i have
towards you
don't shock me
don't puzzle me
don't frustrate me
they pull me together
and make me whole
i wonder.
