A Daily Reminder
~ By Sue ~

I spent years of loving you
only to find
your love for me
was never true

After a while you managed
to make me believe
I could never find
such true love

The things you said to me
stuck inside my head
causing such damage
to my inner self

You said I couldn't make it
out on my own
Other things you said
severly damaged my heart

I no longer believe in love
atleast not for me
for you had captured my heart
then you just crushed it

The physical pain is now gone
The emotional and mental
continues to linger on
never leaving me be

A daily reminder still
lingers in my head
reminding me of
what love can do

Oh Sue...

Sometimes we need to grasp onto the finest moments...

and this poem made me think of that old, old story of the little train...

when he huffs and puffs...

"I think I can I think I can"

God love you, dear...

You don't know how many times a day
I hug that little huff and puff....

Now, let's step outside of what was, and go with what is....

You are on your own. You have a job, computer, connections, a LIFE....

Let's make this the BETTER part....

and in the wings?

Yeah...you know!

Oh Sue...there are better times ahead.
You have to think positive.
I know what emotional abuse can do to a person..
it robs you of your self esteem.
But, there is someone good and kind out there
and I hope you meet him very soon.
Hugs and love, Nancy

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back
