Ashes in Archive

In this wax-sealed envelope,
locked away in a chest of hope,
sleeps ever-distant from my heart,
one wary wisdom to impart.
Yet nary sparks imagination,
When words don't follow in formation.
Neither sounds of sigh nor lullaby
‘Queaths moment’s giddy or midnight cry
I wonder... Am I still alive?
As I sift these ashes in archive.

Through this dust, this gray remain,
I  see the whole which kept my sane.
But I  think now more or less
of worldly ways to spell success.
Could I, should I again suppose
to enter notions of compose?
While I remain preoccupied
With day-to-day slip and slide,
Should I release my other side
From ashes I had once archived?

I guess, success rises from a point of view.
For it rose from ashes in this moment with you.

I could envision this as a sepia-toned dagerreotype of a Norman Rockwell painting...

Wonderful to be reading your poetry again!

Lovin' hugs,

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Welcome back...
very touching write here....

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes this art

This is the first time I've ever read you and I have to say very nice.  Too bad I can relate to the entire thing right now.  But very nice indeed.
