Counting Heads

Gray walls surround me.
made of mason, brick,
the door of iron and steel.

A window made with wire
plexaglass separates the in
from outside.

In the corner a small stainless
sink and commode combined
witha plastic mirror.
Against the wall a bed and
pillow

A dim light shines from above
with a table and chair bolted to the floor.
Sounds ofkeys jingle every
half hour as the guardwalks
through..... Counting heads.

Froggy~
Sadly melancholy is this penning~
But ... you sure make it seem so real~
I swear I could just 'see' the entire scene~

Interesting.

Caught my attention right away with the materials - as I work in construction.  I love steel.

Ate dinner in a prison last year.  Wasn't at all what I expected.  Things I never thought of before.  Like the keys every half hour.

Froggy

Can't you have a normal study like everyone else

A clang of door can often be a chance to think providing you are protected against everyone else.

In Glasgow they slept body to body

Washing was the gossip and the talk of the steamie

Now we talk of overcrowding

A lot more I could say but dont please forget that honest police dont have mandates on hit rates or colour, sex, etc., which Blair is now introducing into this country, or allowing to be introduced.

You raise a point but the point is, no one wants justice, just punishment as the US is now seen from Europe

Your vividly realistic depiction of what it would be like to be incarerated, certainly added to my conviction of being a good little girl!

What a nightmare situation to fine one's self in!

froggy,
I really enjoyed this one! A big
different for you. Very descriptive,
very real, and very well down.
I applaud you in your new arenas!
