The Dance

If you were a butterfly
  that I did catch
I'd marvel at your beauty
  and then let you go

If you were a child
   that shared your laughter
I'd laugh with you and
   and watch you grow

If you were an old lady
   and could no longer dance
I'd dance for you
   and carry your heart

I want to see the elegance of life
    To laugh at times in pure delight
I want to dance the dance of life
    and know that I have lived it right
