Day Catching Unflinching gaze belly flops in the ocean White reserve, sea coils imperative songs Like a relaxed arm of ravishing ivory Dominating my flesh with love Surrealism of some magnitude Self designed escape The outsider relocates forms Like a strident protest, adorningly spoken Balancing ephemeral, in moving waters Shuttle of life’s determination Against crummy little absurd closures Setting me down before pouring a cup of coffee Ferocity of some magical self-effacement Overwrites, in a nightmarish world Trying to get home Weirdly cheerful with balm of puns While cosmic Gods, set forth aesthetic options I wonder what we knew before we were born And why that stimulus provokes response Where were we before?
