I woke this morning by the light of the sun
Another lonely day has just begun
Seconds to minutes, minutes to hours
The day passes by like a cloud full of showers

I roam the house but all I can see
Are stark reminders of you and me
And I promise myself to get rid of them all
But if I did I’m afraid I would fall

Into a pit so deep, a hole so wide
I could never climb out without you by my side
So I cling to them and stain them with tears
Like I’ve done every day for the past few years

I visit the places where we liked to go
In hopes that I’d see you but you never show
So I come back home feeling worse than before
The pain and loneliness just gets more

I miss you so much, but I think even more
I miss who I was and I miss how we wore
A blanket of love wrapped tightly around
Two hearts together and forever bound

I don’t understand it and I never will
Why you left me alone to try and fill
An empty life without even a chance
For any other kind of love or romance

So I curse each new day for I know what it brings
Emptiness, heartache and all of the things
That you left me with, without even a care
Life without you is so hard to bear.

enjoyed this entire poem, but this, this was my favorite

I miss you so much, but I think even more
I miss who I was and I miss how we wore
A blanket of love wrapped tightly around
Two hearts together and forever bound

as it should be.

A touchingly sad writing.

I don't think I've had the pleasure of reading you before.
I love the way you rhyme. This is my kind of poetry.
And I love the feelings you put into the poem.
Thanks for sharing with us.

She left you? is she crazy? her loss...

If your heart is as soft as your poetry... Even if you know it or not, it is shinning now, a beacon~love will see it glowing, finding its way to help you heal~

Love attracts love~
