As down this path of life we walk
Our mark upon this world making
Our steps may not be what we always want
Some make dreams, others our heart breaking

But if upon this earth we happen to meet
Someone we allow deep inside our heart
Someone with whom we share all ourselves
A someone we hope will never from us part

We should consider ourselves truly blessed
This person if we have ever found
Because we know that with someone in our life
Our inner beings and hearts have truly been bound

How lovely and true dear Ethel.
So good to see your post here.
You have been missed.

Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.

Hi Nancy,
It's good to see you too.
I've been missing "home" lately
and thought I'd return for awhile.
Hugs,
Ethel

a poet friend and I were discussing this very issue last evening...when we call someone our friend, it is surely in respect not only for what they can do to compliment our lives, but also, what we can do for them, with no expectaitons, accepting them for who they are...and cherishing the time we have with them...allowing them to go forward and flourish if need be...encouraging them always to succeed.

Hugs Lady for this one, very much enjoyed.

Yeah, this piece is beautiful.  That special someone is turly a beautiful person if you have found them.  I haven't, but maybe its God and up to God.  I saw in the replies where someone said they were from Portland, The City of Bridges.  I don't think its just a physical characteristic, but there are alot of bridges.

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
