My Cane

I tap my cane to read the Braille
Mist has covered my star of sail
And though I’m blind to read my course
Time goes on without remorse

I cannot stay this world of shrink
And play within dimensions think
And though I’ve made some feather beds
Time goes on until I’m dead

Sometimes I say, you foolish man
You know you’ll never know the plan
Why would you shake the hand of God
Clothed a dipper and still a scrod

But faith seems not instilled my bones
I walk and tap on many stones
And cry the salt of all before
And bide the lie of many more

I only wish the mist to clear
And know the gist of being near

Time bids us all, Sy, but I am in awe of your contributions to culture and humanity with the allotment given you...  What an example you set for discipline sharing talent...
