I would have dreaded studying
but my textbook is just
so darned cool

The words
no longer splinter
like bricks tearing down
eyelashes

Exam-worthy important
details self-illuminate
as my gaze dances across
They help crystallize
my learning points,
keeping me steady
in this information whirlpool

Nonetheless,
words can be dreary
When I struggle to concentrate,
I activate a Voice icon
on the textbook
A melodious voice
promptly soars,
appealing to my auditory sense
by reading aloud the text
Listening to words spoken
aids my pronunication too

I may also not understand
some difficult vocabulary
Unfazed, I press
the Dictionary icon,
listening and absorbing explanations,
like a sponge would to water

Other times, I would
rather be engaged visually
I wait for halo images to form
Comprised of delightful characters,
they would role-play and narrate
their insights about these dull concepts
Thus, capturing my sagging attention
with their hilarious renditions

Courtesy of an education authority's
efforts to battle myopia,
there's also a time sensor
that records the time
I have hit the books
It duly buzzs
to inform my strained eyes
to take a much-needed break

With all these hip features,
it's no wonder
studying has upped its cool quotient
My textbook is even now
a trusty fashion accessory!

I'm working on something to submit for a national wide competition on how we would want technology to change the way we learn a decade from now. Hence, this obscure write. Apologies for the mind-torture

Kaile, you have to know how much
I enjoy this - being one who would take
the dictionary to...well, never mind,
let's just say I had my nose in it a lot!

Thank you for this!

LOL, talk about new age study techniques!
I had to limp along years ago with just the book!
Way cool write, kaile!
