A Passing of Hours

I think of how beautiful
you were to my eyes, my
heart just hours before.
I remember the sweet as
candy words you said to me
as you walked out the door.

How long it seems to be,
before you return to me.
I know its only a passing
of hours, but to me, it
seems like an eternity.

James
This poem reminds me of Romeos words to Juliet as they reluctantly parted,

*"Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow."

And the "candy word" reply that Juliet made....

* ".....that I shall say good night till it be morrow."
--------------------------------------------------
A simple expression of your feelings on parting, yet it is very effective in the poem...

"I know its only a passing
of hours, but to me, it
seems like an eternity."

careful now, when you use the word "eternity"

Remeber what happened to Shakespears young lovers....

enjoyed

Humm, this is reading like a novel now. Going back deeper to the beginning. Tell me if you see this where and when did this start?
The mystery is getting deeper. Back tracking could be forever..

This is beautiful.
Hugs

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

One day you will be candy wrapped and smiling
