Apropos of Nothing

The Public Executioner
takes long walks
on winter afternoons.

Evenings
he sits in a rocking chair
and strokes his dozy Pekingese.
Her name is Belinda.

He’s always in bed by 9:30.

He gets up early.

Thanks guys.  I have no idea why I wrote this.  The first three lines just drifted into my head, and when I wrote them down the rest followed.
