The Now in Blend

I watch my thoughts though visioned dim
As weeding takes over and I'm thinking of him.
All the past that before me had made up my life,
And the sadness accompanied, this ending of wife.

I wonder if back then when mistakes were the norm
Could forget and forgive kept the calming of storm.
Or was changing an ever, an always transformed
Becoming what is left the was so unwarmed...

I wonder too much, so often I'm told
But the changes in life leave me left without hold.
Stolen from me, the presence of love
Diminished and tarnished with thoughts always of...

My life was as perfect as perfect could be,
At least in my heart those years were for me .
Until I was lost in a world spinning down
And the new of another left me in this town.

So small minded all, with no words of the known,
I just wondered and searched till I lived my alone.
Though I weed and I think and I wonder what if's
I can only envision the now of these gifts.

The friends I have made, the caring since then,
The hands touched and reaching, words shared from pen.
The past came before me, the present shall be
But the now has inspired these feelings in me.

I enjoyed the rhyme, but even more, I enjoyed the contemplative quality of this one.
