He found my secrets in shallow
grave beneath her
bloodied paged thoughts
intermittent with adulation
they smelled of wild flowers
and rain water
fragile upon his palm,
he cursed low in his throat
deep regret

She shaded him from eyes as his
own hungered averment below lilting
lines daisied with smiles
upon each, tiers disguised as dew
but no less sweet trickling
over fingers raised to lips

tasting the way of broken hearts

His hands grew weak beneath the
weight of emotion, praying their
bitter-sweet melody would end
yet on it played
until his own eyes could bay
no more, oceans

Sun peaked through her leaves
hoping expose with accusing rays
but she canopied over him,
brushing light his cheek
aided of wind who knew all
but was loathe to whisk from
his hands everything true

On he read of another
and came to know stroke of death
for what was perfect withered
to ash upon forgiving palms
peices fell one by one
each more painful than precedent
for he remembered his heart too
once betrayed

They would marry silence,
the two of them,
travel roads dusty or paved
together ever hesitant

She rustled her leaves then
a reminder midnight begged
and somewhere arms were empty
carefully, he returned my
secrets to their resting place
unconsciously burying them far
deeper then before

or so he hoped...

Entirely Tiersdin!

You make "wistful" your very own.

God, you are brilliant!

They would marry silence,
the two of them,
travel roads dusty or paved
together ever hesitant

I would love to have a print of THAT
exactly, gold framed of the willow on a dusty country road with those sad eyes sitting beneath her, both of them finding
life within the other.

Beautiful, Tier

because...truth hurts,
and she would never allow
even that...as much as it
may be deserved...

you spoke in layers, and on planes...
several of them...

thank you, Tier...
