Between the Lines

Eyes Opened to the See

I sail these days alone in thought,
Eyes opened to the see
Wanting just the equal of
A spirit's company.

On whom can bounce my whim of fancy
Spread my touch, expand
Increase my scope of afternow
Unfolding love's demand.

Here I sit between those lines,
My mark made by this type
Bounded only by the string
Of letters and their hype.

Ordered so, to read upon
For some though, in between
An alley, back behind the walls,
The passage still unseen.

To clear the way, for colors bright
To rainbow each of days.
This heat has paid its price to me,
I sit as time delays.

Allowing me the presence of
An interlude's enjoy
Slowing down decision's need
Instead with words I toy.

You know, conditions of the day
Lead me to think in dreams
Where here they lay between the lines
In quiet, silent screams.

M
inspired by GlOOm's
When sleep make dreams
Out of silent screams

and Seymour's sailing thoughts

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."

Thank you Lee and Sharon...it's always nice to be inspired when this continuous heat and humidity  slows my brain
passionatepoet...I just combined a few thoughts and rearranged the words...nothing to it. I am sure you will be able to create some great poems. Welcome
