 Artist: Norman Rockwell Thoughts of You ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ As I lie listless beneath willow tree, In leafy shade of its canopy, I sip sweet tea on cubes of ice, With twist of fresh lemon slice. Sweet Williams scent the balmy air, Stirring memories of love so fair. As I lie listless beneath willow tree, In leafy shade of its canopy, this gave me such a peaceful feeling I sip sweet tea on cubes of ice, With twists of fresh lemon slice. refreshing start of thought Sweet Williams scent the balmy air, Stirring memories of love so fair. never again, will I look at the sweet williams in our back yard the same...perfect The skies of summer are hazy blue, As I lose myself in thoughts of you… a brave and mature way of looking at things and yes, indeed lady poetess, it is those good thoughts which lend the heart substance... thoroughly enjoyed! |
