Silhouette of slender theme
The clouds in outstretched arms esteem
Long hidden in the underbrush
Of breeze succumb in timid hush
Intimate appease compels
The velvet touch of pine lapels
Remarkable the floor of shade
A music maker hums each blade
There I preamble figures fair
The dark blue Iris angel hair
And lift my upturned hands to catch
The spirit blown in tones to match
I am the wind and too prevail
Each sunset look through crimson veil
For all of life should live in bonds
Of canopy and dancing fronds
That if the sun should sleep away
Forgetting to rise up one day
The soul to linger dreamtime state
In silhouette of soft fern fate

I know nothing of faeries, Kathleen, but if I were one...I think I would want you to be the poet choice of the faery people, because your sensitivity to the energy of plant life and nature and your eloquent way of relating that always makes me see things from an enchanted viewpoint.   ....jo

Kathleen~
The title brought me into the beauty of this dance~

Having just taken a morning walk in the meadow,
watching the wind playing fancy with the wild fern ...
such a ballet it was~

I just HAD to add this photo I took,
for your poetic voice gives it even greater beauty~

This is beautiful~
Thank you~

OK Vern, or is it Fern?  A small criti-cue
for ya....

Forgetting to rise up one day

This line has 8 syllables to it,  but it
does not flow like all of the other lines
within the poem....   Wait,  I said it to
myself about 60 more times...it is starting
to blend in better... sheesh!

Love the poem,  you paint beautifully, as
alwaysk!
