O distant region, foreign shore
how you glimmer like the citrine
and the topaz:

you bid the twilight
farewell
to come alive in the night
like a volcano of gems
a cluster of yellow gods:

O stellar of stars

i, the poet, seek your margins
your narrow mouth and
coastal arms:
the hidden histories
folded
inside the hemmed
petticoat of your skirt

that embraces the sea
the coral nights
and me.

take bread away from me, if you wish, take air away. but do not take from me your laughter.

Oh, how I've missed all of your exquisite poetry.  You are writing brilliantly, with such perfect imagery, as has been your hallmark.

With deepest respect,

(great new pic)

i liked the title, drew me in - like the line in the poem -- like the poem... but after reading it -- I didn't really like this as a title... dunno why.. but it makes no difference, spiffing brilliant anyway..

Maree...

you amaze with words and images...you really do!

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes this art
