the mere thought of you
hurts my skin
time in the garden finds me
tasting the salt of your rain
forgive me
for my mind still finds me
living for fall
but spring holds me
warm with purple irises
time shut me down
it wasn’t so much
I tried to keep up
it was just that
it was passing me by
