(Here's a deep, emotional ramble write in response to the tragic attacks in London today!

When writing this I've always believed that there's no way we can ever condone such terrible attacks, and yet, all violence is wrong and that fighting fire with fire only makes the world a more less safe and peaceful world, which I believe the war on Iraq has only contributed to the tension and insecurity of our times.

This is not a protest poem, just more of a socially-conscious ramble in that it is up to all of us how we want our world to be and if we don't find other ways to stop these brutal networks beyond war, the tension will never dissolve!

God Bless London, the innocent victims and their families on this day, and know Martha, GoldenRose and many of our other British Passions friends that our hearts are always with them in loving support! )

It’ll Never Be Any More Than What We Make It

My head’s in the clouds,

but I heard all that you said,

like a nervous skipped heartbeat,

monitored in reverse,

you hurried to cradle your head in your hands...
.
.
.
...this morning your eyes were the bluest,

since last September,

blue like hydrangea blossoms in June,

wondering why,

will they ever know...
.
.
.
What if someone claimed God was seen,

standing in the middle of the sidewalk,

tomorrow,

looking as human as we are,

silent in shock,

perhaps then we’ll all stop and reflect.
.
.
.
And leaping ahead,
seems just what’s wrong with the world,
don’t lose the sense of wonder within,
it’ll never be any more than what we make it,
imagine...
.
.
.
Everything’s different,

I know you’ve done all that you could,

but we’re wasting so much horizon,

we keep coaxing the hoax,

and history is in the blind zone.
.
.
.
Here’s the hitch,

I for one am worn out from this game,

this Pandora’s merry-go-round,

leaves shouldn’t fall from the limb,

on any summer day.
.
.
.
“The man who stands firm,

in the end will be saved”,

“if a man takes you to law and would have your tunic,

let him have your cloak as well,

and if anyone orders you to go one mile,

go two miles with him."
.
.
.
And there’s not a moment to lose,
in this odyssey,
don’t lose the sense of wonder within,
it’ll never be any more than what we make it,
imagine...
.
.
.
Fighting fire with fire,

between the heat there’s a looking glass,

if you look closely enough, you may understand,

the friction of reprimand...
.
.
.
I’m worried they’re just too afraid to imagine,
ohhhhhhh...
.
.
.
Breathe softly now,
the next opportunity has arrived now,
comes gracing your face like a shaft of light,
you can see it,
where did it come from,
that’s often just the problem,
you've got to feel it...
.
.
.
Fighting fire with fire,

between the heat there’s a looking glass...
.
.
.
...and there’s not a moment to lose,
reflecting here,
ohhhhhhhh...
.
.
.
Breathe softly now,
we’re all in this together now,
hearing all these fables about gatekeepers,
when all we really need are doorkeepers,
do they find it hard to explain the difference,
can we imagine...
can we imagine...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.
.
Don’t lose the sense of wonder within,
it’ll never be any more than what we make it...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.
.
Imagine, dear baby,
imagine...
.
.

Nice thoughts...wish it was possible to live and let live...not sure if it is or isn't...who's going to stand up to the bully's...thinking of that song..."They crucified my Lord, and he never said a mumbling word, didn't they, oh my, didn't they crucify my Lord"...life can be a struggle...James

So much pain and hatred. Who knows when it will stop.

Beautiful thoughts Noah.

(big angel friendship hugs) Thank you all sooooooo much for your wonderful comments

The main point I was making here is that I believe all violence is wrong as a solution to the issues of our world today. No sane person can defend all al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations do, though I've also been a prolific and vocal critic to the war in Iraq in that I believe that too has only brought out the worst in us worldwide and though I absolutely don't believe the U.S is corrupt, and only those running this country are wronged, in the eyes of others in the world I fear they approach the war as terrorism itself.

This poem is basically a ramble saying it is up to WE what kind of world we want, not us or them, and if we can begin to find ways to stamp out terrorism worldwide and such without resorting to war, where indeed many innocent are always lost, we could never make this world the world we want it to be.

God Bless You all, dearest friends!

Love,
Noah Eaton
