As I tried to understand My pouring thoughts Drained to my hands So, I tried to write to you But my fingers froze Solid blue Right now, my mind can’t think straight Its lines of thought Are figure-eights So, I tried to pass the time But sorrow stained These words in rhyme Then I tried to write again But with each touch I felt great pain Right now, my heart makes no sound It went on strike And can’t be found Was it love That we both shared Or was it only That we cared For each other Deep and true These written tears Now ask of you? |
