In a state of disrepair...

These are the cages that we were,
a mere five senses and little else,
traps we had made of ourselves

Our bodies on an aphelion spar,
furthest from the sun of sense
blessed by seductive ignorance

These are the ages of the being:
The first the gift of crafted speech,
then the eye that lifts the meek.

Mind that wishes perihelion heat,
empathic to the star of reason.
Skin to touch and relish season.

The cages that the bars we smote
All five senses and so much more
Echo out in endless searching…

We soar………

"And the sun went down, and the stars came out far over the summer sea,
But never a moment ceased the fight of the one and the fifty-three."

I would comment further

As we move from rural plagued by urban

Then we meet Suburban

As those who destroyed urban escaped into rural to destroyed that

And plough ahead
