with lips
softened by dew
I taste this evening's cask
and chase it with an ounce or two
of you

your words
resonate deep
within my hearts caverns,
echoing desire throughout my
senses

you eyes
whisper promise,
look where no one else dared
to seek the secrets of my heart's
lost faith

your touch
seals the bargain,
my renegade heart for yours,
given without hesitation
or fear.
