Separate single beds
Spread down the ward

Hands outside
Wool colored blankets
Heads as still
As if never made to move

No sound is heard
The silent sunlight
Somehow somber fills the room

Disconnected
From the world at large
Unprepared in the end
To be so small

I could picture the wardroom in your Sanitorium quite easily. Enjoyed.
