show yourself to me nocturnal one give to me your kiss, succulent as a berry on a vine, i wait you and i am possessed my lips are parched my ribs, a climbing vine bearing grapes come, my celestial love to the garden bower there, amongst the sage our encampment circle me with your scarlet cloth my cardinal my songbird canto amore for i am not the winter or the gust which threatens to stone you and shadow your light ~ I do not fear you. my desire my raiment, now gilded once tarnished, bore a coat of shame stead your tormented brow aloft my downy vestment and let us exalt in choir to that in which we are entitled Sublimate this existence. take wing, my beloved let us pursue the primeval let us ride upon their backs let us take wine and bread for here We shall find our birthplace. |
