Things Left Undone
By Paul Wilson

The sun setting in the West ends another day
time moves forward on it’s journey to tomorrow
There are many things in my life still left undone
I tried my best... but now must sleep with my sorrow

Dreams and plans now just a distant memory
seems like only yesterday I was a young man
My mind was full of things I wanted too do but
the hour glass of my life has run out of sand

I’ve spent all my life looking for a pot of gold
and like a fool I’m still searching for it today
I tried my hand at doing many different things
but left most of them undone that was just my way

If I could turn the hour glass back over
my life would be full of time and things left too do
As the last grains of sand slip quietly from times grasp
I wish I could spend another lifetime with you

Thinking about it… I’ve done all that I wanted
each and everyday of my life since I met you
My heart is full of love and memories we shared
there’s nothing left undone since we said I do

~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~

Paul~
This is exactly the penning I needed to read this day~

'I wish I could spend another lifetime with you'

That is a beautiful sentiment~

Happy and safe holiday upcoming to you and yours~
