These Eyes

It stretched out lazy before me
a sight I've viewed
a thousand times, or more

yet I could not descry
whether it was worlds away
or if it resides here
in my own back yard.

A dream it seemed
painted in living colors
of earth tones that blended
amber horizons into bluest skies,
causing brilliantine glimmer sighs,
that these eyes
had never quite seen before

for I was mesmerized
by shadows dancing
in shades of green
through spacious fields
where nature's glory
revealed to me
colors dancing in the wind
and I swear,
mother nature grinned...

Birds may sense by aerial view
grandeur of such calm hues,
that excite and light this inner core,
but does it make them tremble
all the more?

When daylight dims this sight I feel,
or age becomes a bane, and real,
know I have cast into memory's store
this sight I have never quite seen, before.

Give me your heart
Make it real
Or else forget about it...Santana

I can not express how much I
enjoyed writing with Karilea again,
even if I did have to beg a bit.
*tappin my foot and shakin my finger*

Thank you all, and Kari?

Well, at least my moody muse
listened to you!

She went back in hiding!

I think I'm taxing her too much
on the sequel...

that's what I think...

Thanks for the nudge, little one!

There are some lines in this particular piece
that seem to be clinging to me...

two of my favorites! well done

I keep a fragrance bottle my
muse gave me when I met him
in endless winter and he
settled me into remembering
who I am.

Scorpio, thanks for stopping in and leaving your thoughts.

thank you Lady Lauren. Amazing what a little phone can take a picture of isn't it. And then, the picture kept saying..
'write'....lol..
and a duet was born.  Luv ya hon.

Momma K?  I am still smiling this morning at how beautiful you made this duet.

Karilea and Donna

Isn't it wonderful to know that the same can be newly beautiful in a new day with a different mood?  This was such a gorgeous blending of the view.
