Of This and That

I lollygag o’er this and that
Like echoes of a flying bat
Searching o’er the rubbish pile
In the night flight, of a wile

I rush to places I have been
Looking for the food of sin
My flight is o’er the sands of time
It is a dance of pantomime

I frolic in the dance of life
A pied-pipers song of strife
And sift again the sands of wake
To remedy a tooth ache

I also ache in ever bone
My tone is like an old trombone
My eyes have mist the white of light
So know I’m active more at night

My hopes, to find in this and that
A pillow or a resting mat

Time chases us all, but our spirits always know a few back routes, and with a couple of quick turns here and there, we can lose the purser, if but for a while...  Thank you for a very nice variation of "Get in, sit down, listen up, and hang-on..."

Your voice may be an old trombone
That plays tunes rather lowly
But we can still belt out the songs.
We just beat the drums more slowly.

Nice to see you here, nice to see you anywhere. Oh it's getting close to that time again. See you soon.
