june you entered early
entered vengeful entered strong

you, a storm: a nor’easter crashing
an angry sea, something screaming –

(my windows this house all stability in this town shaken)

june where i was aching
where i was coping
where in your early days would dream
of something more than the undoing and the drain
something more than the worry

you tore me small and then smaller
you wore me out and down june

i tried to drink you
i tried to write you out of me
i tried to numb myself until you left for good
and your leaving, it is approaching
it is nearing fast june

june
where i was not hungry
where i did not eat or swim
where i did not grow at all - so long.

every sentence told a story
wild with images, and a lost feeling
anger, disappointment...truly...a wonderful bittersweet write....

Hugs to you

yanno...now that I think about, you are right.  June wasn't fun at all and usually June is my favorite month.

goodbye to June.

and you wrote it with perfection and grace.

ALicia, so good to read you again. As impressive as ever. Sounds awfully hurtful. I'm sorry.
