Word Tears

They fall from eyes
that can feel the words
of someone who understands
the need of understanding.

Comforted by the storm's approach,
for the darkness and stirring
bring about a power,
a moment silenced in thought
that takes the distance and
brings it here and now.

We deserve the beauty of a smile in greet,
the softness of a heart in touch,
the real of a love that gives,
and a cup that is half full,
rather than empty.

There is no letting go of the quality
of these thoughts,
for the gift is waking up
to each day,
with no regrets.

I loved the end where you say "We wake up with no regrets." Awesome poem.

Poetry is beauty in words.

Oh, sweet lady... you leave me without words... but these tears are ones of appreciation for beauty and goodness... and humble wonder that such a lovely poem has any association with my name. *S*

You've gifted me twice... with poem... and with friendship... I treasure both. *S* Thank you!!!

"Comforted by the storm's approach,

yes..yes. yes.  it's is about the power.
because at any other time I can feel so powerless.  But a storm, I can greet with pure glee.

I have digressed into my own world...lol

I loved this M!

How blessed and fortunate is the person who  can wake up each day with no regrets. I'm not convinced we should ever lose our regrets, rather convert them into lessons for the future and learn from them.

As always, your words are thought-provoking and beautifully said.
