Between the Lines

0 posted 2005-06-28 08:26 AM

I process the last few days
trying to delete that which never occurred,
despite the many wishes for
those wishes to come true.

I look for that place inside
where happiness resides
but is laying low
wondering what it is about me
that is so invisible to the outside world
that even the hurt cannot be noticed.

And so the mirror lies this morning,
my twin smiles to begin her day,
you know that Alice, the one who
can move between the lines of the mirror
and step back when things get too strained.

I reach to grab her hand, to feel some touch,
and follow her, to watch the world from behind.

M

yes, know the feeling up close and personal, just as your poem has made me feel...soft melody, aching heart...and yet, when she grabs your hand and never lets go, it is then...you begin to understand all your questions....hugs to you, and thank you for a very precious write

Gentle Spirit, thank you Donna..if only that would do the trick

LeeJ, well it would be nice if understanding was in the offering but it just isn't there at this time...might never be.

Thank you

ctowen, Thank you Craig and yes I have come to believe that the Kingdom of Hearts doesn't really exist for me.
It must have been that mirror I broke about  4 years or so ago...I still have a few more years of suffering to do, I guess.
Thank you "friend".

Sunshine ...I try to keep her from resurfacing but it is inevitable right now.

Thank you Karilea for reading my "lack of" in words.
