prelude sends an opium center scrambling
obscuring, narrow winding roads
with firm opinions,
rolling away, into shadowy depths
of some quiet backwater

snowdrifts become finicky & impatient
departing this part of the world
vigorous, like the archway to tomorrow
with unfaltering pace
squealing and making extraordinary sounds
wrapping the extension cord of unhappy things
around it’s arm

standing in this water, my senses merge
with an aura of surface, like no other
locking sight upon this room, imbued
with thoughts standing beside me
like a rattan chair with a decorator pillow

i’m full grown in cumulative effects
unshackled and devilish
hungry for a firmly focused destiny
all is ablaze, with summarized tease
enticing memory to come full circle
hearing weather plant a
soft gentle voice in my bosom

childhood sprouts, irresistibly
sincerely, wishing to play,
follow the leader
with a circular fountain
in the center of this garden
of ancient shade trees
extended beyond suggestion

there i saw a lingering warmth
swathing through the unclaimed
beauty of means
such willfull, independent beauty
of means
leaving me, dependent upon "no thing"
for happiness
other then
surrendering to
all things yet to find

standing face to face
with wooing instinct
and my name
two loud colored butterflies
spread
their wings in supple vocabulary
flying into some great intangible

with a will to nurture each own

Lovely Lee, that was lovely!

It is one who is well on their way down their spiritual path, who writes such words as these:

~ "such willfull, independent beauty
   of means
leaving me, dependent upon "no thing"
   for happiness
   other then
   surrendering to
   all things yet to find"

Sending you blessings of bounty and joy,

Linda Flower

Lee~
Each penning a well-worded treasure-trove~

'childhood sprouts, irresistibly
sincerely, wishing to play,
follow the leader
with a circular fountain
in the center of this garden
of ancient shade trees
extended beyond suggestion

there i saw a lingering warmth
swathing through the unclaimed
beauty of means'

LOVE the idea of 'childhood' sprouting 'irrestibly'~

Each and every word you write LeeJ is perfectly placed in relationship to the beauty within.  Excellent!
