you were a gypsy in net stockings
with a glass eye's watching
the windows with butterflys

you drew me pictures there
under that sunburned sky
with the wet of your fingers

and a sundress wind
you unspun my dreams wool
and left the mothy mouth hunger

my mind always saw your back
but never your smile
you said I had to earn that later

when a lover's moon made me blind

the moths hang around with the butterflies hoping some of their wing dust beauty will
rub off, and they hang around poets hoping the talent and inspiration will too.
