The bolt restraining life in hock simply disappeared
and I stand in the emptiness of wall encased dreams
a woman screaming, “No, don’t fall” to the feel of tears
pushing at the limits of my hard earned forbearance …
but they turn deaf ears towards the strength in me.

Life brings to us that pool of wishes, hopes, and needs,
swirling down the drain amidst cleaning liquid, foam,
gurgling as it goes like a suffocating toad
into vast collections of what’s not meant to be.

But in the turn-around there are openings and gaps
waiting to be filled with hat and travel maps
as real compensation for nought to call my own
and for love’s static stance in complete withdrawal.

Over land and over sea; who knows where ere I’ll be
when the time is right for love’s overdue debut!

this was amazing, each paragraph, each and every line, so descriptive, could actually feel you take me into your sights, and visulize...tremendous job there, lady...enjoyed this a lot.

You are a woman with many visions Helen, and I love the look and how you see the world around you.

As always, I enjoy your poetry so much.

You always find the good within the chaos, and the beauty within the dull...I salute you!
