Teeter-totter

We walk upon a teeter-totter
Weather walker, jotter or plotter
Some walk this path with lace and rose
And some with fantasies suppose

Some would sniff it from a cork
And some find nettles on the walk
But all would seek this precious path
Regardless of the aftermath

Some find butterflies in May
Some would find a place to stay
And some would find a life of chase
And some would find a wife of taste

The Teeter-Totter bends with weight
Depending on the sigh of freight
Some will back to stay the bend
And some will charge into the end

I myself have chosen rhyme
And dance upon a stage of time

And a beautiful dancer you are... gracing this stage called life... and winning many a fan along the way... I know I'm one. *S*

I enjoyed this, my friend! *S*

In spite of the highs and lows, we learn to live with our choices.
But no one takes their rhyme as high as you do,
or lends so many good thoughts to ponder.

Your poetry is a true gift, Seymour Tabin, Sir.
