Pardon Me … I’ve A Tear To Shed
~*Marge Tindal*~

Each June your memory comes around
leaving me wondering yet again
what our lives would have been like
had you more time here to spend~

Thirty-four years just weren’t enough
to fill this tender memory chest
with all the things I wanted to remember about you
little brother that I loved best~

Mike, your memories sometimes seem
as dusty webs in the corner of dreams-in-regret
So I have to brush them off … and touch them
for you were too important to forget~

So, pardon me, little brother …
if I forget just what you said
You know the part about being happy always
for I’ve still got a tear to shed~

You left ripples where there should to be waves
splashing me with everlasting love
cresting the memories of your smile,
that special wink,
the hug that went on forever …
Oh, little brother … I miss you so
that the rhyme just falls apart
leaving me wanting more of you
more of what brothers and sisters
are supposed to share for the all of time
Digging deep … I am searching
for more … more … more~

I found it ...

The letter from Germany when you served our country
… my favorite one with the little closing note …
"Sis, your smile has kept me company …
when no one else was there.
Always keep smiling for me, okay?"

Yes, Mike, I’ve still got a smile for you
And asking God to deliver it … so you will know
you were too important to forget~

~Happy Birthday, little brother~

So special are the ties that bind you in love.  Happy birthday, David Michael!  I'm sure he knows you're thinking of him.

Oh, Marge, this is beautiful!  I noticed he was just 34, the same age as our youngest son, Roderick, who died in August, '02.

Bless you,

Oh my dearest Marge! Tears streamed down my face as I read your poem. Although our loved ones are gone, they will remain in our hearts forever.

Awwww....     Feeling the pain and hurting in this one, Marge.  Although, this is some thing that I have not had to face yet...I feel the pain of losing a loved one...for I have lost MANY.  God be with you in your pain and hurt...and may your little brother see those smiles that he loved so much!

Marge this one made me cry.  And remember my older brother that we lost in 1995.  How could it be 10 years ago, if I still cry when I think of him?

And I shed one, too... This weekend, I'm facing the first anniversary of losing my brother of the heart... I will be thinking of this...

You left ripples where there should to be waves
splashing me with everlasting love

Beautiful work!!!

Dear Marge:  I enjoyed reading about your relationship with your brother Mike and I'm sorry he is no longer able to be with you. It must have been wonderful having him in your life as long as you did.  Such a loving poem!

Love
