Sudden prurience overtook me
With purple flames covering my eyes
And faith shaped my twisted tongue to reckon love
Attentively I watched from above the shadows
Found the vision purely coursing through my veins
And let my soul and intuition take the reins to run

Far too abruptly did passion well
Feelings pried from me in hopeless fidelity
Something sacred and assuring woven choke chain
Knotted in the stomach of an apprehensive waif
Ageless and timeless the tempo of gloved hands
I smiled at my human self, disbelieving enchantment

Oh yes, there is innocence
The twinkling infinite stars that fill my eyes
Reminding me of just how priceless hope becomes
To dream a distant dream as if the only universe
And give breath to the winds of change without regret
That still you are the sun upon me now, in thought and daydream

A sudden purple overtakes the summer skies within your eyes
For not another love could see the purity that surges but denies
To want of every moment spare held tight along your shores
Traveling the limits of the living, giving all my heart implores
And setting free the depths of me into your knowing realms
A sudden purple steams the glasses rose it overwhelms

'Reminding me of just how priceless hope becomes'

I find such soft hope in the beauty of your words~

Some time ago
I wrote of purple,
and when you take
the emotion of the color
into account, anything can happen...

Like this poem.

Purple is an on-going, ever-giving,
wealth of words color, Kathleen...

I would like to see
some more purple from you
in the future.
