Banquets of caterpillers
become a skyway of butterflies;
the moon smiles above in her evening choir
and the stars hang on invisile threads of the tenderhearted
and round robin soliloquies toast the great prophets

breathe...........the air is still free, isn't it?

soaring high on jack daniels
and mountain jammin'
joe blue eyes and me,

somewhere in a dream
unveiled, we meet again
and stand toes upon toes
in grass tickling the now snowless mountain tops,

the sky breaks it straight laced composure;

you gift me in cirrus clouds
and faces above smile a harlequin romance,

the trees court the marigolds
and sunlight splinters into a rainbow,
your smile, a prism of recognition,

we meet again......

i climb above these earthly chains
into your rose garden,

you take my hand
and we dance, free.

One positive critique in a question

Banquets of Caterpillers?  That's one buffet I think I'll pass.

The poem itself though is enticing and I love the pictures you give.  An exhilerating read.

never try to teach a pig to sing
it wastes your time AND annoys the pig

Such captivating imagery, dear Poet Michelle!

Well, nobody eats the caterpillars as you let them become butterflies. Banquets for the eyes only.

Love and hugs.

Michele, the first stanza is a poem
all and in itself...

the rest was dessert...
