Visiting Earth on a Guest Pass

I want
-so suddenly-
to say

a grace

this food is
normal fare
the setting
ordinary

but
with a surge
I yearn to
thank

on my knees
I mean
reverent

though I know
it isn't
needed

and
anything I say
superfluous
nothing I say
enough

but suddenly
for this meal
for now

grace

Yes Ed, sometimes it is just that way...
suddenly.  Love this look into your thoughts.

I don't know....sometimes it just comes on to me like that. This time I thought I'd say it right out loud.

Ed,

I know the feeling.  Life has been so wonderful at times that I felt I would burst if I didn't let Him know.

   It's great to read this!

and
anything I say
superfluous
nothing I say
enough

And yet... you said it just right... and I'm so glad you said it out loud... for in doing so, you blessed us all.

This is one of the most beautiful poems I've ever read... and it is one I'll read again and again. *S* Superb work!

Of course... it would be easier to read it again and again if I'd check the library box... LOL

Ooops... *G*
