What does it take to fly
alongside a dragonfly?

I ask you...
for I am ignorant
of the rules of flying,
(being a mere groundling
...of sorts)
though to soar as the clouds is my dream
I silently scream
each time I board a jet plane,
for I have a fear of flying,

though in my dreams I fly quite easily
and wherever I set my onboard GPS system to go
I go freely...
without hesitation or fear,
even when the ground is not near
I can hover a while,
get my bearings mid-flight...

(or at least, that is my mindset)
and my meandering mind travels.

Just what does it take
I ask you,
to fly alongside
an elusive dragonfly?

(This is a riddle.)

Actually I love them!  *seems to me so does Martie.  To be able to fly along with one the first thing you need, believe it or not, is 360 degree vision, as they respond to even the slightest movement with a brain that is designed to process 80% of things that are visual.   Maybe the second thing would be an internal thermostat, as they regulate their own temperatures, sometimes by raising the rpms of their wings to cause them to "whirrrr and fly."

I know - too much time on my hands right?     Hope Sarah is all better Kacy.

I will wait patiently for the answer.

'Twould be a flight of fantasy, to be sure! lol

My poor brain is fried tonight and cannot do your riddle justice! (At least that is my excuse!)

Sharon's brain seems to be in fine working order! ~ Mind you, it is three hours later where I am! Ooops! There is another one of my lame excuses! lol

Good night, ladies! Pillow

LOL, yes, Sara has healed from the horsekicking incident, thanks for asking!
...if I may brag? Sara now has photo credits on the FRONT cover of Flying Changes magazine! LOL, it's a photo she took last year of the Lipizzaner mare Primablanca with her colt, Adonis.
~sigh~ my child is a practically a professional at age seventeen!
Thank you for reading, Sharon.
