Making The Goblet Sing

One finger is enough,
one finger and a gentle touch.
Wet is best, slip your finger
smooth, smooth around the rim,
feel the glide until you sense
the tiniest vibrations starting
as you move round around the edge,
glass soothing up into life, a pulse
within the rhythm of the finger
pulling round and round, around....
a little pressure now to build the note,
strong as you dare and stronger still
insistent, feeding loud now on the touch
and starting to lose pitch from the strain
along the glass....until it's time to gentle,
ease it down, away, still round around
but smoother now, a fade of softness
into softness into vibrating silence....

Oh, wow... this one would warm up the coldest night... reading it on a hot summer's day leaves pure sizzle! *S*

I like this sensual beauty very much... Excellent work!
