Because I can see forever in the blue, so blue, of sky
I’m able to assimilate the silent sounds of destiny
that hauntingly play every day across, over, and within
the folds of every hope and wish for health and happiness.

Some days it’s a lullaby that rocks the child in me,
some days it brings alternatives firmly into view,
but other days the sound of it deafens me to love
and I move into acceptance mode somewhat unwillingly.

And so a body sways to whatever plays today,
an unknowing slave and prisoner to the tune of destiny
that casts hypnotic spells like a witch from out of hell
or a wizard non-stop practicing on mystic instruments.

And so brief the pause between first pages and the last
no mind can break the flow of aggravating circumstances
or interrupt the harmony of karmic responsibilities
incorporated in the chords like subliminal messages.

I stand a woman fortified in this cacophony of sound
by the grace of one who gave me the ability to hear
the sweet, so sweet, music of true abiding love
drifting through the blue, so very blue, of sky …
and I ask, “Does it matter if it’s not here on the ground?”

Ah, dear Dixie, from love of course but you know that already for it's from love that you too get your inspiration.
