I’ve been missing the quietude of the clouds
Although they’ve forever been around.
I’ve been missing the dreams once had,
the courage to float them out,
the courage to know myself.

Too scared to flex my mind like
Pulled cotton
To be
       S~t~r~e~t~c~h-e-d    c~l~e~a~r ~~~ a~c~r~o~s~s   ~~  t ~h ~e  ~  s~k~y

On some days, so young and timid
But on other days so strong.

                         Before long, a new career to discover;
                       What was right
                             With age becomes wrong.

I must scan the life on horizon,
Feel the texture of the clouds.
Seize from self dust,
Squeeze the rain from doubt.

Like cloud transition in the sky
Must move
Gradually must try…

Life is about change...there is just no getting around it...sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes not.  I wish you the best...I think that you will be fine!

Thanks, Martie and Nancy.  The change doesn't have to occur for a few years, but I'm trying to look ahead.  If I go back to college, I need to do it immediately.  I feel, and have felt the need for change, but am chicken!
Thanks for your encouragement.  I appreciate. Just in limbo right now, trying to convince myself to grow... Thanks again.

Misse~

'trying to convince myself to grow...'

And ... you will do just that !

The 'youngest' man on campus when I was attending college was 80 ... he knew he needed to GROW ... so he did !

Send me a graduation announcement !
You go girl ... you CAN do it !

Marge,

You are a honey!  Thanks for your thoughtful response.  Sometimes a person has to leave the security nest.  Just not ready to fly, but am trying to get into the attitude, or is that altitude?  Spelling--what can I say?

  You say eighty?  Wonderfully young.

     huggles right back!

"Transition"  being the keyword.  This is a wonderful message,
and does my heart good.    Hugs, misce~

I picked two lines as a stunning illustration...then noticed Martie had chosen the same two, so I took all that followed from what she chose. You're right, if we don't reach out, we lose our hands....if we don't move, we petrify....if we don't call, nothing comes to us.

If we don't take hold of the reins, the horse will lead anyway. Might as will take control and take the route you want.
best to you marty

Like cloud transition in the sky
Must move
Gradually must try…

like nature itself, in us, all around us...it cannot always be the way we want

this was emotionally charged, for me....
it was like feeling music....
