Plum perfumes
The snowy air
Within the harbor

Ships at anchor
Sway and sigh
Upon the sea

Trees twisted
By wind and time
Each as if alone
Along the shoreline

Over withered fields
Not even an echo
Of warriors’ drums

Simply put...mesmerizing.  The images are so vivid...I could feel myself on an empty harbor cast over by fog and light shadow.  Lovely.

I am glad that I used some words that a wonderful poet has used years ago. how interesting.

beautiful poem. if I let myself feel it, I shall not doubt cry all drought away.
