Painting "Alone" All I wanted to know was that someone cared. A little comfort, to a soul I have bared. The coldness met, too much to understand. Emptiness screamed, with nowhere to land. Hours of thoughts piling high weighing down. Eyes hiding tears behind glasses tint brown. Truckers in passing, watching wiping of those. I wondered if they wondered the reason the flow. Then more hours to pass, just swollen to follow. A face now unseen, no more stops, feeling hollow. But timing and speed began lifting the fog. "I can stand on my own" I wrote down in mind's log. I don't need anybody, just any won't do. I don't need the dismissing of words when I'm blue. I stroll in this life now, a pacing with heart. If that's not enough, I'll paint "Alone" as my art. I feel it today, when words are just words, When the meeting of actions is emptiness heard. I am me, in my selfish of need left to feel In a world that means more, when the loving is real. I like how your words added layers of depth to the underlying emotions you shared. I exspecialy like your last line. Nicely done |
