Hana Ka Hoe, Pa'a Ka Waha
(Part of: “Emmanuel Endorphin’s Serotonin Sundae”)

.
.
.
.
.
Simple as a sunrise,
.
.
recollections of vinyl lullabies,
.
.
refrains of Makalapua, preview of paradise…
.
.
.
.
.
honeycreepers hang like monkeys in the trees,
.
.
sailing through this purple orchid menagerie,
.
.
rising to the anthem of the Keawaiki chickadee…
.
.
.
.
.
sandhill skippers hula with the western pygmy blue,
.
.
south sea prom festivities across the Lahaini plumes,
.
.
sharing breath with our ancestors in this ancient lagoon…
.
.
.
.
.
so observe with the eyes,
.
.
listen with the ears, heart and mind,
.
.
paint your face with Kuilima sunshine…
.
.
.
.
.
hana ka hoe, pa'a ka waha…
.
.
hana ka hoe, pa'a ka waha
.
.
hana ka hoe, pa'a ka waha
.
.
ku`u makamaka…

Sweet Angel O' Mine.  Everything your write inspires the dancer in my heart.  I loved this poem.  As I always do.  And as you alwasy do, you bring the biggest of smiles to my face.  I love ya, dear.  Keep dancin'!
