standing at the bottom of a staircase
looking up
as if i knew you, when i saw
unity…why do we forget we’re living in you
or your living in us?

open ended rambles of individual threaded stories
walking like city streets, dancing on moments
your free verse wandering through physics
things there, but forgotten
selective, this cognitive distortion
we adopt
of some fractured unconsciousness
is that what we’re always searching for?

knowing it was there all that time?

close encounters reaching out
choosing to inspect any given moment
meticulously generated pursuit
poking me hard
daring me to join some psychic card game

draining me of energy, yelling at me
while i impart a lifelong lesson
persistent in focus
sending out queries
queries so long, my center eye hurts
but, i’d take this solitude anytime
this deep philosophical musician
enters my diary

putting ourselves second
taking my hands in this upbringing
kissing me on the lips
so that i’m never mistaken
i’m His

it is then, and only then,
the seduction of heaven’s gate opens
when i realize conventional wisdom
his perfect utopia slogan

and humbleness touches my  mind
that it was only a notion
of life, that i realized
somehow, i fell solace
and knew the everything i owe Him
it is then unicorns are real
forms of myths become legends

and i climb the stairs slowly in
ever so little snippits

there is, that sweet smelling forest
with clear liquid oceans
framed by the heaving bookshelves
of God’s mind
noiseless & in
unison

and I wonder sometimes, when we're so busy
looking for something, someone, if?

This is dear to my heart.

I was going to write you to say why, but respect that you might not like care to correspond.

So just know that this particular stanza reverberated for me.

Much enjoyed.

You are one intense lady.

this stirs my heart - for I so often wonder . . . so many things to consider, and yes, perhaps sometimes we look too hard when it is right there before us all the time, in us, around us. Oh, you give me much to think on this morning, and this is a good thing my friend -

Good morning to you and hugs - Susan

Lee, your poems always deserve at least two read throughs! I never want to miss a precious word. I read them slowly so I can appreciate and experience every line. There is so much going on in your beautiful head ~ and heart.

This is so beautiful.  I would say it almost brought a tear to my eyes, but I'm a guy, and as you know guys don't cry...

This writing was eatable, and very delicious for my soul!
