When Angels Depart

When angels
depart
though they
take nothing
nothing is left

The world
slants under the
weight of it
and water rolls
the stones away
with no miracles

I wait forever
begging only
resurrection

Jamie

Perhaps there should be a sequal soon called, When Angels Return?

I've watched those angels go and you capture it quite well.

never try to teach a pig to sing
it wastes your time AND annoys the pig

I know no angels... but I'm well acquainted with the feeling that nothing is left but a world without hope... You've written that desolation incredibly well.

I have to agree
with Martie...

I await
the sequel.
