Cannibalistic Parasites

Stepping around on my hands.
With my feet firmly planted atop.
The roots of which leave my souls
& are eagerly received by the
upturned hand beneath.
Thriving of the nourishment their neighbour produces.
Cannibalistic parasites, drawing the resources of those closest to them
& In return, seem to give nothing at all.

With no feet on the ground and his head in the air,
the body strides through life purposely ignoring the battles ahead.
For the knuckles that carry him fights his path through life,
though they get bloodied, he does not care,
for he knows that the feet are his own personal batteries,
knowing that the labouress hands will never drain them.

So the feet are stuck in the middle,
the substance they produce is taken at will & they have the responsibility
of the weight above them, to ensure the great weights mobility & nonchalance.
He lays between not one, but two cannibalistic parasites, both using him for
their own selfish means.
But he is a foot, whose soul stays clean, or so it seems, for the hands beneath can
mask his appearance and can so take the guise of what ever he chooses as the body decides where he passes his time, he has to worry about nothing, except how he is perceived.

Three cannibalistic parasites, all living of each other, all thinking that they are the ones whose importance in the trio is over and above the others, all three keeping their secrets close, scared of what may happen if they let their guard down for even a fraction of a second.
Unknown to them, and many others similar, is that wisdom shared, and kindness openly received opens the doors to many places where selfishness, greed and fear of trying will never tread.

A uniquely creative and interesting piece of writing!

You concluded it beautifully with, "wisdom shared, and kindness openly received opens the doors to many places where selfishness, greed and fear of trying will never tread."
