standing on a shadow's lace

Faithfully

everything in my life
has led me to this moment
today I join you
in an incredible journey
where faithfully in this gold
I fuse myself to you
a bond
that can never be broken
forged in fire
tempered in tenderness
a single band
of eternal strength
that curves back to meet it’s self
a precious connection within
its own free flowing movement
designed of lifetime unconditional
unlimited love and friendship
you
are my unending circle
and today in your hand
I now forever
place my heart

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

Goodness Helen, this is such a touching wedding vow!  Will this be what you say on that day?...I hope so!  May you find joy in the circle that is forever.

for those of you that don’t know
I am getting married on Saturday
in pink lace and satin
on a romantic boat in the gulf
surrounded by friends and family
(some friends will not be there
and they with tears will be greatly missed)

this is what I wrote
to tell him
as we exchange rings

I take you there with me…

Precious vows are told.

We are born
from the source
into an abyss,
we live alone
with the longing
to join
with the oneness
of another.

We yearn in darkness,
to sing
the soft and gentle song
of life
to someone dear;
to bring
light with a whisper,
the softly spoken words
of love
for only one to hear;

so,
hold tightly to your friend,
and take him into bed with you,
creating there,
in peace
and love,
the sharing of infinity.
